Liberty Facilities

At the heart of the University of Leicester’s campus is the library. In addition to being open around the clock for the duration of the school year, the library is also stocked with study areas, computers, and group study rooms, and offers copyright consultation, printing, scanning, and copying services. The facility also features the Library Café and the AccessAbility Centre. The Library offers classes on how to properly cite sources, how to conduct effective research, and how to locate relevant academic materials and information.

Recreational centers for sports

The University of Leicester is home to two sports centers: one at the main campus and another in the Oadby Student Village. You can register as a student to use either or both of these locations. Each location also hosts regular sessions and has amenities like a swimming pool and exercise equipment.

Nursery

The Danielle Brown Sports Centre on the main campus of the University of Leicester serves as the location of the university’s nursery. Children as young as six weeks and as old as five years are welcome at the University of Leicester’s Nursery, which is available to all faculty, staff, and students.The Nursery is OFSTED-accredited and follows the guidelines established by the organization in its delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum. Toddlers and older kids can use their own, as well as shared, restrooms.

Services for International Students

Support is available from the International Office and International Students’ Advisers on visas, employment, finance, and cultural adjustment. For all international students who wish to or need to improve their English level before or during their degree, we offer pre-sessional and in-sessional English classes.

For students, they have several different options for living arrangements. If you apply for University housing before September 1st, you will be assured of receiving housing during your time there.All of their rooms are self-contained, and guests can choose between shared dorms and individual studio apartments. You have the option of using a common bathroom or a private bathroom in your accommodation. Both The Village, a short bus ride from campus, and The City, a short walk from campus, house students at the University.

Since The Village is only for undergraduates, most of its residents have recently graduated. You may feel more comfortable living amongst your fellow senior postgraduates in The City.Alternately, the Students’ Union has an accomodation office to aid students in their search for off-campus housing. SULETS is a completely free service with no hidden fees for students to use, making it an excellent option for those who would otherwise have to pay an agency, registration, or reservation charge.

Leicester University guarantees university accommodation for students who accept an offer firmly and apply by September 1st. Studio apartments and shared rooms are available, as well as catered and self-catered rooms. In second and third years, many students choose to live in halls, but most live in and around the city. The Accommodation office can provide assistance to students who wish to live in private rented housing outside of halls.

The compact campus at the University of Leicester offers the best of both worlds. In this small town, you’ll always see a friendly face, but in this big town, you’ll make a lot of new friends. Their campus is conveniently located within easy reach of one of the UK’s most vibrant cities with excellent facilities and services. In Leicester, there are many bars and clubs that offer student nights and discounts. Leicester has a lot to offer if you love live music – much more than you might expect! On campus, they have the O2 Academy with loads of top bands and the Highcross shopping center is a mix of big name and designer stores. Look no further if you want a one-stop shopping experience.

The University of Leicester’s approach to education and research is heavily influenced by its long and storied past, but that doesn’t imply the institution is stuck in the past. The University’s slogan, “So they could have life,” expresses the central mission of providing for and empowering future generations via education and research.To the south of the city center and just next to Victoria Park is where the main campus may be found. The LGSC International Merit Based Scholarship, worth either £3000 or £5000 per year, is available to Leicester Global Study Centre pathway students who are pursuing any undergraduate degree at the University of Leicester, excluding medicine.
