For students, they have several different options for living arrangements. If you apply for University housing before September 1st, you will be assured of receiving housing during your time there.All of their rooms are self-contained, and guests can choose between shared dorms and individual studio apartments. You have the option of using a common bathroom or a private bathroom in your accommodation. Both The Village, a short bus ride from campus, and The City, a short walk from campus, house students at the University.
Since The Village is only for undergraduates, most of its residents have recently graduated. You may feel more comfortable living amongst your fellow senior postgraduates in The City.Alternately, the Students’ Union has an accomodation office to aid students in their search for off-campus housing. SULETS is a completely free service with no hidden fees for students to use, making it an excellent option for those who would otherwise have to pay an agency, registration, or reservation charge.
Leicester University guarantees university accommodation for students who accept an offer firmly and apply by September 1st. Studio apartments and shared rooms are available, as well as catered and self-catered rooms. In second and third years, many students choose to live in halls, but most live in and around the city. The Accommodation office can provide assistance to students who wish to live in private rented housing outside of halls.

The University of Leicester’s approach to education and research is heavily influenced by its long and storied past, but that doesn’t imply the institution is stuck in the past. The University’s slogan, “So they could have life,” expresses the central mission of providing for and empowering future generations via education and research.To the south of the city center and just next to Victoria Park is where the main campus may be found. As well as state-of-the-art resources, such as the Leicester Law School in the Fielding Johnson Building and the School of Engineering, many of the campus’ buildings also illustrate the history of the University and surrounding surroundings.The David Wilson Library houses over a million books and serves as the campus hub. In addition to its own café, this facility houses hundreds of computers, study rooms, and a computerized, interactive Reading Room.Global Study Centre students will be fully integrated into campus life at the University of Leicester from their very first day.
Currently, the University employs over 3,300 people directly and indirectly supports over 4,300 others. Students are offered skill development initiatives to prepare them for future technologies. Additionally, it offers career counselling and provides placement assistance to students. Students can find internships and jobs through the university’s partnership with corporate bodies.
