Scholarships up to $2,000 may be available from the International Office for students responsible for their own education funding when you submit your application. Undergraduate students may receive up to £1,500 (including remedial work. Postgraduate students may receive up to £2,000. Graduates from outside the UK who have completed an undergraduate degree at USW that required at least one year of full-time study on campus may be eligible for a Progression Fee Discount of £6,000.

The University requires the following English language qualifications for degree level and higher courses:
- IELTS 6.0 with at least 5.5 in each component or a C grade in English at the GCSE level*.
- Minimum TOEFL score of 72 with at least 18 on reading, 17 on hearing, 20 on speaking, and 17 Passing Marks in ISE III
- A total of 64 on the PTE Academic and PTE Academic UKVI, with a score of 59 in each section..
