Why do students need to study foundation degree?
A foundation course refers to a prerequisite qualification that prepare an international school-leaver to enrol in a degree level course at UK/Canada colleges/universities. This is a one-year course. This course prepares an international student who has studied in a non-British/UK curriculum and want to enrol at UK/Canada universities in a subject like Business, Computing, Medicine, Law, Media, Social Science, Science. This course is also helpful for the international school- leavers who need to improve their English language skills and want to be familiars with UK or Canada culture and life before enrolling at university degree level courses.
Entry Requirement:
University foundation courses generally have two types of entry requirements for international students:
- Academic requirements
- Language proficiency
Academic Requirement:
*For Foundation courses: 10+12 years with minimum 50% marks.
*Or 5 GCSE / IGCSE pass at grade A-D, or equivalent.
English Language requirement:
*IELTS score of minimum 4.5 is required for international students wishing to study a foundation, with no single element less than 4.0(UKVI approved IELTS required for UK foundation courses).
*Or TOEFL – no less than IBT at least 60 or equivalent.

Course Duration and Fees
*Duration for foundation courses usually 2 or 3 terms. This means that your degree will take 4 years to complete. During Stage 1 you will complete a range of modules relevant to your chosen degree, as well as modules concentrating on the skills that are vital for University level.
*Fees starting from £4500-£35000 thousand depend on the countries and institutions
