Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):

Education Doorway FAQ

Students from outside the United States who wish to enroll in the university’s undergraduate program are expected to demonstrate academic excellence by presenting a high school diploma or equivalent. Based on the educational standards in their country, they may need to pursue additional training. Eligibility requirements vary each UG course and can be found on the school’s website.

To begin, students must choose one of more than 200 introductory-level (UG) courses offered across 46 different disciplines. Then, they need to look at the course’s specific academic admittance requirements. (Some courses may need an interview as part of the application process) Verify that you meet the English language criteria and submit your payment. Prior to doing that, you should look into the finding choice.

The university will typically send a conditional offer if the student is still working toward fulfilling his requirements. However, once you’ve finished qualifying and met the requirements, you’ll receive an unconditional offer. After exam results are released, UCAS will confirm your admission if you met the requirements of the conditional offer.

Students from other countries who are 16 or older can apply for a student visa to the United Kingdom. Confirmation of Acceptance for Study (CAS) is required for students to enroll in courses. Following your unconditional acceptance of their offer, the university will issue you a CAS. It’s also important that you’re able to afford your education.

If you are applying for a visa and are under the age of 18, or if you are using your parents’ bank account as proof of funding, you must provide the following documents: a copy of your birth certificate and your parents’ or guardians’ passports or other valid travel documents, proof of funds, your CAS, and proof of parental/legal guardian consent.

Undergraduate (UG) students who enter the UK on a student visa are limited to a maximum of five years in the country. The maximum enrollment for a postgraduate program is undefined.

The application fee is £363 if you are not a UK resident. If you bring along any family members or friends, they will also have to pay £363 each. Your program requires a healthcare fee of £470 per year (applies for the dependant as well).

As part of the application process, applicants must submit a personal statement. This brief essay should express why you’ve decided to pursue higher education at the University of Sussex. Each applicant is limited to a single statement of purpose.

A student’s payment will cover their whole educational experience, from instruction to assessment. What it won’t pay for are food, shelter, books, supplies, sports memberships, or even tickets for guests or a cap and gown.

Yes, you can. Non-native English speakers must demonstrate proficiency in English in order to enroll at most universities. In order to accomplish this, you can:

Take an English test like the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).

Verify your proficiency in English with any further credentials you may have.

Please provide documentation that you are exempt from the university’s English language requirement.

Complete the pre-sessional English course at the Sussex Centre for Language Studies.

The school provides 9 different types of on-campus housing, all of which include either private or shared toilets. Each of these rooms has its own kitchen and serves its own meals. Different sexes of international and UK students live together. After receiving your acceptance letter, the admissions office will email you a link to the housing application.
