Overview

The story of the University of East London begins in 1898. As a society, they have survived wars, celebrated momentous sporting events, and fought against society’s biggest sustainability challenges. As Ham Technical Institute, it was established in 1992 and acquired university status. In keeping with its motto “Knowledge and the Fulfilment of Vows,” UEL seeks to help students prepare for a rapidly changing world by fostering their creativity, emotional intelligence, and skill development.

Their goal is to change the face of education to keep pace with the ongoing shift in workplace cultures. To ensure their course portfolio reflects the industry’s changing needs and prepares learners for sustainable careers of the future, the College has collaborated with the industry to re-develop, re-design, and validate their course portfolio.

In London, there are plenty of options to choose from. There is no other university like the University of East London. It is impossible to find a sense of community like anywhere else.

At the University of East London, 25,195 students from 140 different countries study alongside collaborative partners. There are two beautiful campuses of the University of East London, one near the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, and one near the Royal Albert Dock in London Docklands.

Their Vision 2028 strategy is a 10-year strategy that has always been a pioneering institution. As they reshape education, they ensure that students from every background are equipped with the skills and opportunities they need to thrive in the modern world.
