Even though New York has long been considered the financial capital of the world, London has recently surpassed it as the primary location for international capital and financial services. Those students who are able to do so will find a wide variety of part-time jobs available in London, where the economy is robust. These jobs can help students apply their knowledge or provide much-needed financial support.
  2. London is one of the world’s cultural hubs, home to hundreds of historic buildings, concert halls, theatres, thousands of acres of parkland, many sites of scientific interest, and four UNESCO World Heritage Sites (twice as many as Paris or New York).
  3. There are many world-class restaurants, pubs, bars, clubs, and theatres in London, making it home to a vibrant social scene. Students in London have access to some of the best live music venues in the world, including the O2 Arena, Wembley, and the Brixton Academy, among many others. London hosts a plethora of annual festivals and carnivals, including the famous Notting Hill Carnival.
  4. London’s fantastic and well-developed public transportation system makes it easy for students to travel to and around the city. London has an extensive public transportation system including the tube (subway), buses (which run around the clock), and trains (which connect London to the rest of the country), and of course the ever dependable London black cabs. As a form of environmentally friendly transportation, cycling is also on the rise.
