The Robert Gordon University is an undergraduate and graduate university located in Aberdeen, a Scottish city. The university was founded as an educational institution in the mid-18th century, although it received university status in 1992. Robert Gordon University is known as “The Professional University” because it focuses primarily on vocational degrees. Services for International Students
Robert Gordon University has both Licensed Student Sponsorship and a team of Student Immigration Specialists ready to assist you during every step of the application process, in addition to its licensed student sponsorship.
To improve their English language skills, students who are eligible for entry but lack the required grades can attend an eight-week pre-sessional English course. Students can further enhance their English skills by enrolling in English language classes during term time. In addition to general group classes, individual support is also available.
International students may be able to work in the UK while they study, but their nationality will determine what conditions they must meet. The visa stamp on their passport will tell them whether or not they can work in the UK.
If you are an adult student with a valid visa:
- The maximum number of hours per week you may work during term time is 20 and during vacations you may work full-time
- If you work for an employer (other than a recognised Foundation Programme), you cannot be self-employed.

Entry Requirement
Normally, postgraduate and undergraduate taught courses require an IELTS score of 6.5 with a minimum of 5.5 in all 4 components. Depending on the course, you may need a different level of English. For specific details, please visit our course pages.
All SELT test reports, including IELTS and other standalone English tests, expire after 2 years years only and can be used as proof of English for admission if valid on the start date of your course.
Qualifications for English tests
- Bachelor’s degree candidates must have a minimum TOEFL score of 80 and an IELTS score of 6.0.
- IELTS minimum for master’s degree: 6.5
- The required TOEFL score for masters is 88.

Tuition Fee
- At Robert Gordon University, the cost of a bachelor’s degree ranges from 1,820 GBP to 6,750 GBP for local students and from 4,640 GBP to 17,150 GBP for international students.
- For domestic students, the master’s tuition at Robert Gordon University ranges from 1,820 GBP to 9,900 GBP a year, and for international students, it ranges from 5,300 GBP to 18,230 GBP per year.

Scholarship

Undergraduate Students
- Robert Gordon University’s route students will not be eligible for the fee decrease until they complete Year 2 of their studies there.
- International students must be enrolled full-time, on campus.
- The student is responsible for his or her own financial support.
- Accepted for the ICRGU’s Foundation Studies Programs in September 2022 and January 2023
Postgraduate Students
- The MSc program at Robert Gordon University is the only one that qualifies for the fee reduction, not the ICRGU route.

- An Academic Appeal is a request for a review of a decision of an academic body. During the preparation for or completion of an assessment, a student may wish to submit a Student Appeal Form: Academic Appeal – Award and Progression Stage 1 if there were circumstances beyond their control.
Academic appeals should be based on the grounds listed in Regulation A3-1 (or Regulation A6 for research degrees). Please contact RGU:Union Advice & Support if you have any questions about completing the Academic Appeal Form.
RGU takes misconduct very seriously, and sanctions can be imposed if it is proven to have occurred.
