International College Portsmouth (ICP) offers pre-sessional English language courses, which are open to students of all levels of study. In addition to English for Academic Purpose classes, Portsmouth also offers classes during term time so students can adjust to the English university system and become proficient in writing essays, reports, and presentations. For the first year, all EAP classes are free. Topics include essay writing, presentations, grammar, and academic style.

Students who are interested in living off campus are responsible for conducting their own availability searches and should plan to arrive on campus well in advance of the start of the semester in order to do so.

Scholarship

The International College Portsmouth (ICP) offers many scholarships to international students. Scholarship eligibility depends on a number of factors, including your course of study and academic grade.

Early Bird Discount:

The amount will be deducted from the first year of your academic studies at ICP and reflected in the tuition fees for the second semester of September 2023 if you settle your deposit before 1 May 2023.

University of Portsmouth Vice Chancellor’s Global Development Scholarship:

If you are eligible to progress from ICP to the university, you will be able to receive the Vice Chancellor’s Global Development Scholarship, which will reduce your first-year tuition fees by £1,600.
